About
Visual identity for Victor Aparicio's piano album, inspired by the legend of a lone sailor lost at sea. Developed in collaboration with Paula Illasecas, the project translates the emotional journey of the narrative into a visual language that accompanies each composition.
The identity is built around the cyanometer, a historical instrument used to measure the colour of the sky. Its circular scale became the project's key visual, using colour to map the emotional progression of each composition. The case study presents the first two released tracks, Azure and Letters Never Sent, representing two contrasting moments of the voyage—from calm horizons to the centre of the storm. Applied across the album artwork, motion pieces and digital releases, the system establishes a coherent visual narrative that evolves alongside the music.
